Asst. Prof. Magdalena Lepicka
Bialystok University of Technology, Poland
Speech Title: Study of the Dynamics of Friction and Wear Processes of Wear-Resistant Coatings
Dr. Magdalena Łępicka is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Bialystok University of Technology. Her scientific work focuses on experimental and computational tribology, including friction and wear mechanisms in hard coatings, dental composites, and biomaterials. She applies advanced nonlinear analysis methods, such as recurrence quantification analysis, to tribological data to study the dynamics of frictional processes.
She serves as Principal Investigator in several national research projects, including studies on tribologically optimized dental materials and wear modeling in solid-lubricant-modified composites. She has also contributed as a key researcher in numerous national and international projects in the fields of tribology, surface engineering, and materials science. Dr. Łępicka collaborates with recognized research centers across Europe on tribology-inspired design of advanced functional materials.
